Breakfast keto Mc’muffin

This started off as an experiment but turned into something delicious. This was so easy and fast as was slightly experimental but turned out super delicious and yummy! I don’t eat Mc Donalds but this reminded me of their breakfast Mc Muffin, I added bacon and sausages to mine and devoured it with a coffee. I later had another with peanut butter and diabetic jam with a cuppa. They are moist and very enjoyable.


  • Cups (336g) Flaxseed – golden ground
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut flour
  • egg whites
  • 3 tablespoons of clarified butter (coconut oil is also suitable)
  • a pinch of  salt
  • 1/4 cup water (or up to)
  1. Whisk the egg
  2. In another bowl, blend the flaxseed, coconut flour salt and butter.
  3. Add the eggs

  4. Gently fold the egg mixture into the flaxseed mixture.
  5. add the water if dry or too gloopy the mixture should be mouldable with your hands
  6. Preheat a frying pan with a little butter or oil I used clarified butter and placed baking rings into the pan add the batter and cook on each side until golden brown
  7. Eat and enjoy!
